My name is Steven Fenton and Beverly Hills has been my home for over 35 years.  I am a product of the Beverly Hills public school system.  I’ve seen first hand how our schools shape our lives as individuals, families and as a community.

For years, families have moved to Beverly Hills for our schools. I truly believe that great schools make for great communities.

I am running for a seat on the School Board because I love our schools. They are good schools, but I believe they can be better.  We need to regain the confidence of the community and show that we are headed in the right direction and have the leadership to get there.

To this end, I have specific ideas for the future of the district such as a BHUSD Pre-School, Master Classes (taught by expert alumni and residents), an Alumni Endowment Fund, Community Outreach Program and enhanced curriculum.

Over the years, I have remained involved in the life of our schools founding the Beverly Hills Athletic Alumni Association, which has raised over $800,000.00 in its first year.  I also created Teen BHEF, which recognizes and mentors student leaders.

But I want to do more.  We need to look at this district with fresh eyes and renewed energy.  I have the passion, commitment and a vision for the future of our schools that will allow our district to reach its full potential.
